My music is inspired by intimate sounds from modern jazz, classical music and concrete visual impressions: “Black Coal Meadow” is a landscape around my hometown - a beautiful medieval town which was torn down in 1965 to leave space for colossal coal mines, turning the entire region into moon-like landscape. “
The Collective Abroad plays contemporary improvised music originating from band members' music scenes: Stockholm, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Tallinn, Basel and Aalborg. The music combines the groove of modern jazz with the intimate atmosphere of Nordic jazz and explosive energy from a world-class horn section
Agnė Pasaravičienė (piano/LT) and Jan Sedlák (double bass/CZ) find inspiration in the impressionism of the late 19th century, modern jazz and world music. Their "Footprints in the Sand" were chosen for a prestigious release "Jazz from Lithuania 2022." Ange is "an absolute gold medal winner in The USA Music Composition International Competition IYMC (2022)."
Xhud (ʃuːt) is a cross-over project combining live painting with emotional and rhythmic improvised music. The word Xhud is taken from the Maltese language, meaning - observer or witness and has been the main inspiration for the music and the visuals as we describe retrospective emotional and intellectual experiences.
